Bulky
The camera took a long time to arrive, when it did I was dissapointed. It’s bulky and I didn’t realize that it needed batteries. I returned it and got the sd1100 instead.

Poorly Built Camera Unworthy of Canon Brand
I just returned my A480 to Amazon after less than one month of use. I’ve previously used Canon cameras and thought they were one of the best point-and-shoot brands.

Great starter, low-cost camera
Very nice, inexpensive camera. Takes regular AA batteries, so it is easy to always be ready to take some pics.

Be Aware of Warnings on this A480.

Astounding macro shots

flash recharge is NOT acceptable in 2009
I am a die-hard Canon fan, and I was not dissapointed at all with the picture quality. For a small, inexpensive camera, the image quality and features are unbeatable.
